My Health Journey....What I Have Learned😊

Updated: Jan 30

Hi everyone,

How are things going in your world? Happy belated New Year! I hope the new year is going great so far!! Can I talk about the Goodness of my God? October 31st I suffered a major stroke, Friday night October 30th my hubby and I were reading to each other in bed, Saturday morning I woke up and was unable to walk, talk and see!

My blood pressure was 238/114 For years I have been in denial of my blood pressure (no way my pressure is that high was my favorite statement) Guys I should not be here! My blood pressure was 238/114 the day I had this stroke, My God is so so Good, let no one tell you that He is not! I could not walk, talk nor see!

I am a firm believer in taking care of our bodies. Eating organic & natural foods, no diary, sugar, processed foods, and lots of whole and raw foods. Exercise is a must for physical and mental well-being. I also believe in supplementation. It was a big shock when this stroke happened, I thought I was doing all the right things! I have learned to start listening to my body, headaches that last for days is a sure sign that a stroke is about to occur.

God is an amazing healer, I am walking on the treadmill, I am on the elliptical for 5 minutes going forward and 3 minutes going backwards! (October 31st I was unable to walk, talk and see, January 29th, I am on an elliptical)! I have total dependence on God I can not get through this stroke without Him! I roll on the bottom of my feet, wrist, and under my nose Peace EO, Forgive EO, Console EO, Siberian Fir EO, Frankincense EO.

Melissa, Wild Orange and Frankincense Essential Oils are my new BFFs' there are days when I get very emotional, thinking about where I use to be and where I am now, ( I know God has great plans for me, I need only sit back and wait on Him)! I drink these oils everyday for my emotional wellbeing! I am scheduled to graduate from Physical therapy 2/10 (Yeah)!! I will be graduating from Occupational therapy the end of February!!

I hope this blog post can help someone that is going through the same situation, know that God has you in the palm of His hands and He will never leave you are forsake you!

Keep trusting God!

Ruth
