DIY Moisturizing Lotion Bars😊

Lotion Bars

This Christmas, I’m making DIY Lotion Bars, as gifts for family and friends! These bars are made with beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and essential oils. They are all natural, moisturizing and will nourish and soothe dry skin.

DIY Lotion Bars

4 oz Beeswax

4 oz Cocoa Butter

4 oz Coconut Oil

1 tsp Vitamin E

15 drops Peppermint

Directions:

  1. Measure all ingredients, except for essential oils, in large glass jar.

  2. Place jar in saucepan with one to one and a half inches of boiling water.

  3. Stir ingredients until combined.

  4. Once melted, remove from heat. Let rest three minutes.

  5. Add essential oils and stir.

  6. Pour mixture into silicone mold.

  7. Tip: For an exfoliating lotion bar, add oatmeal to the bottom of the mold.

  8. Let mixture harden two to three hours. Wrap in plastic wrap and store in container until ready to use.

Massage the bar on your skin and let your body's natural heat melt the lotion. After one use, you won't know how you lived without it.

I think most people love and appreciate the time and work you put into homemade gifts, so I love doing this for my friends and family.

Are you up for making homemade gifts for your friends and family this year?

The essential oil used in this recipe are in my favorite essential oil starter kit. You can read more about the brand I stand behind and how to purchase a starter kit for yourself HERE.
